Breast reduction

Breast reduction, technically known as Reduction Mammaplasty, is a surgical procedure designed to reduce the size and shape of a woman's breast. Patients with very large, pendulous breasts may experience a variety of medical problems, such as:

    · Back and neck pain
    · Skin irritation
    · Skeletal deformities
    · Breathing problems
    · Indentations in shoulders from bra straps

The procedure removes fat, glandular tissue, and skin from the breasts, making them smaller, lighter, and firmer. It can also reduce the size of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple. The surgeon’s goal is to achieve smaller, better-shaped breasts that are in proportion with the rest of the patient’s body.
