What makes porcelain veneers look like our natural teeth?

l They absorb and reflect light in the same way your natural teeth do. Light enters our tooth enamel and reflects back off the layer underneath that, which is the dentin layer, a darker color than the enamel. In the same way, light enters the translucent porcelain and reflects back off the underlying dentin. As a result, both enamel and porcelain look shiny and attractive.
