An arm lift surgery, technically known as Brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove loose skin and excess fat deposits in the upper arm. With age and/or significant weight loss, upper arm skin can become loose and flabby. The only way for patients to improve this problem by tightening the skin is through an arm lift.
The procedure is done under general or sedation anesthesia and takes about one to two hours. The procedure may start with liposuction to remove any excess fat in the arms. Incisions canextend from the armpit to the elbow, along the inside of the arm.
